Course Summary
All aspects of Health and Safety are important to a business whether you are an employee, contractor or supplier and this half-day course will benefit both the learner and the business, ensuring that the working environment is a safe and healthy one.
Units covered:
Unit 1 title: Introduction to Health and Safety for People at Work
- Maximum of 16 candidates per course
- 4 hours
- Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace (RQF)
- This qualification does not expire, but refresher training and keeping up to date with changes to policies and procedures is vital to keep the qualification current.

• Understanding the importance of health, safety and welfare standards in the workplace• Knowing how hazards and risks are controlled in the workplace
• Being aware of the main causes and effects of poor health and safety at work
• Understanding how health and safety information is communicated in the workplace
A minimum of 4 hours
Upon successful completion of the course, Candidates will be issued with a Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace (RQF)
This course is certificated by First Aid Awards (FAA) in accordance with the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.
