Emergency Paediatric First Aid
1-day Practical course
This 1-day Emergency Paediatric First Aid course provides essential training for anyone who works with or cares for babies and young children in low-risk settings.
You’ll learn how to respond to emergencies, including CPR, choking, bleeding, burns, allergic reactions, and more. Training is hands-on, practical, and delivered by experienced instructors.
Important:
This course does not meet the full EYFS or OFSTED requirements for early years settings. If you work in a nursery, pre-school, or as a registered childminder, you must complete the Full 12-Hour Paediatric First Aid course.
This Course is Suitable For:
This Emergency Paediatric First Aid course is ideal for anyone who cares for or works with children but is not required to be on the Ofsted Early Years Register.
It is particularly suitable for:
Parents and grandparents
Babysitters and au pairs
Nannies in private households
Teachers’ assistants and support staff in schools
Club leaders, sports coaches, and volunteers working with children occasionally
If you work in a professional childcare setting where Ofsted registration is required—such as nurseries, pre-schools, or as a registered childminder—you will need the full 12-hour Paediatric First Aid course to meet statutory EYFS requirements.
